The undersigned is directed to forward herewith a copy of D.o. letter No.l/6/2021- NCW(A)-DEO dated 23rd September. 202 r received fiom Member Secretary, National commission for women (NCW) informing that NCW has set up a dedicated round the crock (24x7) Hetpline number (7827170170) for women in distress since 24th July, 2021. The website for the helptine is www.ncwwomenhelpline.in. Thc round-the-clock helpline provides online support to women affected by violence or mental stress through referral by linking them with appropriate authorities such as police, hearth services, District Legal Service Authority. They also provide counselling services and information about women related programs across the country through a singre uniform number. The task ibrce managing this project is a team of highly qualified personnel, who are providing emergcncy response to women in distress. 2. They have requesred to share the Helpline ntmber ig27170170 and the uRL on the Department website and other related websites so that large number of women could be made aware of the resource. 3.
