The Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Economic Affairs, Insurance Division has amended the General Insurance (Rationalisation of pay scales and other conditions of service of officers as well as the Supervisory, Clerical and Subordinate staff vide Notification no. SO-1792 (E) and SO 1793 (E) dated 21.12.2005 The Amendment Scheme 2005 dated 21.12.2005 for Supervisory, Clerical and Subordinate staff provided for certain amendments in Para 8 (Hours of work), Para ( (Holidays) and Para 10 (Leave) of the Rationalization Scheme applicable to them. In view of the same, following changes in the under mentioned terms and conditions of employment are effective from 01.01.2006. 1. HOURS OF WORK : The amendment in Para-8 has the effect of increasing the weekly working hours for all employees in the Class-III & Class-IV cadres (other than drivers, liftmen, gardners A, watchmen, electricians, plumbers and gardeners ) by 72.5 minutes, w.e.f. 01.01.2006 spread over week of 5 full days.
