No. : Date: 1 INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) 1.0 Introduction Bharat Aluminum Company Limited, (here in after referred as “BALCO”) a subsidiary of Vedanta. Limited, is one of the world’s leading diversified natural resources companies with business operations. in India, South Africa, Namibia, and Australia. Vedanta is a leading producer of Oil & Gas, Zinc, Lead, Silver, Copper, Iron Ore, Aluminum, Steel, and commercial Power. The company operates a state-of-the-art aluminum smelter having an installed capacity of 0.56 MTPA. and an integrated 2010 MW thermal power generation facility, at BALCO, in Chhattisgarh. To adhere to MOEF&CC and MOP guidelines for ash utilisation, BALCO invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from prospective Logistics Partner for loading, bulk transportation, unloading and disposal of Ash (Conditioned Fly ash, bottom ash, and pond ash) from thermal power plant of Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd. At Korba, Chhattisgarh. 1.1 Basic information: 1.1.1 Plant capacity: 2x300 MW. 1.1.2 Total ash disposal: 1.5 MTPA (IPP units) 1.1.3 The plant is situated at Korba, Chhattisgarh. Location: Balco Nagar, Korba (495684). Nearest Railway Station: Korba. 2 INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) 2.0 Expression of Interest: BALCO invites “Expression of Interest (EOI)” from interested transporting agencies for “Loading, bulk transportation, unloading and disposal of ash (Conditioned Fly ash, bottom ash, and pond ash) from Thermal Power Plant located at Korba, for utilization in environment friendly manner as per the prevailing guidelines of MoEF & CC and SPCB”. 3.0 Purpose of this EOI:
