Description

SPARC – Sports Promotion and Recognition by CPCL Sports Scholarship Scheme 2025 As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) is committed to nurturing sporting talent among Indian youth. The SPARC – Sports Promotion and Recognition by CPCL for Youth Sports Scholarship Scheme is designed to identify, encourage, and support young athletes by providing structured financial assistance to help them pursue excellence in sports. Features of the Scheme 1. Scholarship Levels • Elite Scholar • Scholar 2. Game-wise Distribution Scholarships will be awarded across selected team and individual sports disciplines. • Team Games: Kabaddi, Kho-Kho • Individual Games: Badminton, Table Tennis, Silambam, Athletics, Boxing, Chess Note: Maximum of 20 scholarships will be awarded (10 Boys & 10 Girls). Vacant slots may be reallocated across games or gender categories as required. 3. Application Timeline Opening Date: 20th August 2025 Closing Date: 20th September 2025 Applications must be submitted online only. No offline/email submissions will be accepted. 4. Eligibility Criteria • Age: 13 to 19 years as on 15.08.2025 • Performance Standards: o Elite Scholar: National-level representation / Top 1–5 ranking / International participation o Scholar: State-level representation / National ranking 6–10 / Quarter-finalist in nationals • Recognized only through Sports Federations accredited by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. 5. Scholarship Benefits • Valid for up to 3 years, subject to annual (yearly) performance review. • Monthly Stipend: o Scholar – ₹15,000 o Elite Scholar – ₹20,000 6. Important Conditions • Incomplete or non-compliant applications will be rejected. • Beneficiaries cannot avail of any other sports scholarship during the tenure. • No employment guarantee under this scheme. • Verification of original documents will be conducted at CPCL, Chennai (expenses to be borne by candidates). 7.
