Offences and Penalties under the Metro Railway (Operation and Maintenance) Act, 2002. SECTION OFFENCE PENALTY Drunkenness or nuisance or spitting or sitting on the floor on the Fine of ₹ 200 /- 59 train or quarrelling Forfeiture of pass ,ticket and Removal from carriage 60 Taking offensive materials Fine of ₹ 200 /- (1)Demonstration of any kind upon railway (1) Exclusion from attending demonstration 62 (2)For writing ,pasting in compartment or carriage ect. (2) Removal from compartment, carriage etc. (3)For refusal to be removed (3) Fine of ₹ 500/- 63 Travelling on roof of train. Removal from carriage and fine ₹ 5000/- Imprisonment up to 3 months or fine up to ₹ 250/- 64(1) Unlawful entry (to enter the coach reserved for women) or both Imprisonment up to 6 months or fine up to ₹ 500/- 64(2) Unlawful entry and walking on metro track or with both Imprisonment up to 1 year, or fine up to ₹ 1000/- 68 Obstructing officials on duty or both 69 Travelling without ticket or pass Liable for excess charge of ₹ 50/- and maximum fare of system 70 Interfering with means of communication in train or misusing alarm Fine up to ₹ 10,000 /- 72 Defacing metro properties Fine of ₹ 200 /- 73 Unauthorized sale of articles on metro railway Fine of ₹ 400 /- 75 Unauthorized sale of ticket Fine of ₹ 200 /- and forfeiture of ticket 1. Station Managers/Station Controllers are authorized to impose & realize fines from offenders. Note: 2. In case offenders do not pay the fine they will be handed over to the police for producing them before the metropolitan magistrate.
